The
living room area includes a comfortable sofa and chair, cabinet with satellite
television, DVD/VCR (videos are available), and an electric fireplace.
Oak kitchen cabinets are filled with dishes, a variety of glassware, pots, pans, utensils, and cooking ingredients. There’s
also an electric range, refrigerator, microwave, blender, mixer, toaster, coffee
maker and grinder, and tea pot. Eat breakfast (in your jammies, if you prefer)
from the eggs, pancake mix, cereal, juice, and other items available to fix at
your leisure.
The dining area is furnished with maple Tell City table, chairs, corner cabinet,
and sideboard. A metal-and-wood etagere holds snacks, bar supplies, and a diversity
of books. Clear off the table and have a game of cards, backgammon, checkers,
chess, Monopoly, or Scrabble.
Sleep
well in a queen-size bed crowned with raw silk and fitted with an extra-firm
mattress topped with memory foam and high-count linens. Put your clothes in
the ample closet.
The
second bedroom features a futon that serves as both a sofa and a double bed.
Send postcards home from the glass-topped desk, or work, if you must. There’s
a large closet and a chest-of-drawers here, too.
In
the bathroom, there are plenty of thick towels, including ones for using with
the outdoor hot tub. Special soaps with natural fragrances are handmade in Bloomington.
Other toiletries are also available as well as hair dryer, washer, dryer, iron,
and ironing board.
Just outside the patio doors is a large flagstone terrace with a unique cedar
gazebo, old-fashioned swing, cushioned chair and chaise (for reading, napping,
listening to the birds, or watching deer), table, chairs, and umbrella, stone
benches around the firepit (firewood, marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers
are provided), gas grill, and hot tub (the perfect place to relax under the
stars). Feeling competitive? Try a game of croquet. Need some exercise? Take
a walk to the creek. Want to learn about flowers, trees, and shrubs? Consider
a stroll around the cedar-fenced yard. Culinary herbs are here, too, if you
want to spice up your cooking.
